With the start of the school year, we’re continuing to make steady improvements that keep classrooms running smoothly and consistently.

This month’s updates focus on giving teachers and students a more reliable experience, with a focus on making it easier for schools and organizations to manage sessions behind the scenes.

Before Class

Quick Alerts if a Teacher is Missing

Get an automatic email if a teacher hasn’t joined within the first few minutes of class. This way, teams can step in quickly and keep lessons moving without delay.

Note: To enable this feature, your organization will need to provide the recipient emails. Please contact your HiLink account manager or support team to set it up.

Find Classes Faster

The search bar now comes with powerful filters – by teacher, date, status, or class type – making it much easier to track down the exact session you’re looking for.

During Class

Re-Approval for Removed Students

Teachers now have more control over classroom access. Students that are removed by the host cannot rejoin without manual approval, while students who leave voluntarily or disconnect can re-enter automatically.

Tip: When creating the classroom, enable Waiting Room in the configuration menu.

Once a participant is removed by the host, they will have to be admitted to rejoin.

A Unified Look, With Privacy Built In

Every classroom should feel safe, private, and consistent. Now, administrators can set a standard backdrop that automatically appears for all participants. This protects student privacy, removes distracting personal settings, and gives schools and organizations a unified look across every class.

Tip: Organizations can set up a standard backdrop and toggle it on or off.

Once a background is set up, it will be enforced for all participants that join meeting rooms of the organization.

It’s like setting the stage before class begins — everyone steps into the same space, ready to learn.

Sharper Video and Clearer Audio

Clarity matters. With improved video and audio optimization, classes now feel smoother and conversations sound more natural. Every lesson, every discussion, and every voice is easier to follow, even in large sessions.

Improved Stability & Responsiveness

Sometimes the best improvements are invisible. Behind the scenes, HiLink is now more stable, responsive, and better synchronized across devices. This means fewer interruptions, faster load times, and a smoother flow for every class.

After Class

AI Post-Class Summary

After class, access a complete overview with video, transcript, and an AI-generated summary. Teachers, students and admins can see the topics covered, key concepts, and activities. This allows for ease in follow-ups, reinforcement learning, and curriculum planning for next steps.
