July 9, 2024 version 3.3 

New and Enhanced Features

  • ​New Teacher Classroom Onboarding Tour

    • An engaging tour to guide new teachers through the platform. Set ‘enableTeacherOnboarding’ to true in the Create Meeting API to enable this feature.

  • New Webhooks for Students Entering the Waiting Room

    • Adds ‘student in the waiting room’ status to the user join/leave webhooks.

  • Default View Customization

    • Allows customers to customize the classroom default view settings via Create Meeting API.

  • Weak Network User Experience Optimization:

    • Adds a weak network indicator for users with high latency or poor connections, making others in the meeting aware.

    • Removes the logic that automatically turns off other users' video windows when a user has high latency, giving users the choice to adjust their settings.

Updated Feature

  • User Video Window UI Update: Improved the UI for displaying user name tags and microphone indicators, enhancing video window visibility.

New and Enhanced Features

  • Mobile Classroom Enhancement

    • Now supports classroom in portrait and landscape view.

    • Responsive design on sidebar, gallery, and whiteboard view to fit better on smaller screens.

    • Added responsive windows for chat, reward leaderboard, settings, and user management tabs.

  • Advanced Control on Student File Sharing Access in Chat via API

    • Introduced an "enableStudentSendChatFile" configuration on the create meeting API to control students' access to file sharing in chat.

  • Classroom Internationalization

    • Classroom now supports French and Croatian.

Resolved Issues

  • User video occasionally turned grey when the internet resumed from high latency.

  • Fixed an issue where Chromebook did not support certain file formats during uploads.

June 13, 2024 version 3.1 

New and Enhanced Features

  • Full Screen/Zoom In/Zoom Out for Screen Share

    • ​Added the ability to toggle between full screen, zoom in, and zoom out while screen sharing for a better viewing experience.

  • Chrome Browser Update Recommendations

    • Introduced a recommendations pop-up window on the create meeting API to suggest Chrome browser updates, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility.

  • Real-Time Callback for "End Class for All" Event

    • Added a real-time callback feature for the "End Class for All" event, providing immediate notifications and updates when a class ends.

  • In-Class PDF Upload Enhancement

    • Improved the PDF upload process within the class by increasing upload speed and file resolution for PDFs smaller than 10MB, ensuring better quality and faster uploads.

  • Updated the font weight in several areas to improve readability and visual consistency across the platform.

  • Resolved an issue that caused a 400 error during file uploads

  • Changed the default view to Sidebar View

  • Maximize the file window by default

  • Updated the font weight and spacing on the Classroom

  • Optimized some loading logic when creating whiteboards

Resolved Issues

  • Resolved some files not being fully recorded in the recording

  • Resolved the initial states of the camera and microphone inconsistent before the user connected to RTC service when entering the classroom

  • Resolved the issue in post-class evaluations where leading and trailing spaces in the text were removed to prevent invalid comments consisting of only spaces

New and Enhanced Features

  • AI Lesson Planner for enterprise

    • Embeddable AI lesson planner via API

  • Added Playground on the enterprise dashboard

    • Dashboard users can test the AI lesson planner API on the dashboard 

  • Added connect lesson plan to class shortcut on dashboard

    • Users on the dashboard can now connect the lesson plan to a specific session by clicking the “materials” icon next to the session

  • Added Delete Recording API

    • Enable clients to hard delete the recording in HiLink storage via API. Warning: calling this API leads to a permanent deletion of recordings, HiLink is not responsible for retrieving recording data.

  • Updated the font on the Dashboard

Updates to Existing Features

  • "lessonPlanUuids" in the Create Meeting API are now named "lessonPlanIds" 

    • Updated the lesson plan parameter so that it now accepts lesson plan ID received by the uploaded lesson plan or lesson plan external ID received by HiLink AI Lesson Planner POST request.

    • Lesson plans uploaded via “lessonPlanUuids” will require re-upload via the “lessonPlanIds”

  • Files on the Dashboard are now named Materials

    • Users on the dashboard can now view uploaded files and lesson plans in the materials section

Resolved Issues

  • Resolved an issue regarding webhooks reporting multiple user left events when the user left the session.

Updates to Existing Features

  • Afte-class evaluation feedback form updates

    • Changed the multiple-choice options on the after-class questionnaire to text boxes, enabling users to provide more detailed feedback on their classroom experience. With this enhancement, users can now express their thoughts and suggestions in their own words, offering valuable insights for further improvements.
